Regular and moderate exercise can add life to your years!

Everyone has the potential to lead a more active, healthy and happy life.

It is unnecessary for you to become unfit or less vital as you become older, and importantly it is possible to restore physical fitness or raise it to higher levels.

Reasonable, regular and appropriate exercise is the key to vitality and growing good health.

As you become fit you will be able to do more, with less effort, for longer periods of time.

The need for exercise does not decrease as we become older. In fact regular and enjoyable "low impact" physical activity is an effective and low cost form of preventative health care. It also provides the opportunity for new social contacts and friends

Age Concern coordinates several gentle exercise programs such as Tai Chi and strength training. These are supervised by skilled tutors and are run on a fee for service basis. They operate during four eight-week terms throughout the year. Age Concern also supports community groups offering activities such as bushwalking, old time dancing, new vogue dancing, needlecraft and walking for pleasure.

Age Concern is an active community partner on a range of local and regional initiatives. These include the Riverina Murray Older Mens' Group and the annual Information for Seniors Week.
